This is a really nice hardcover NIV version of the Bible, perfect for gift giving with presentation page. I love the colors and design. There is lots of room for journaling with lines and space on every page, from top to bottom. It has a nice ribbon marker and a matching band for closure. The size is really nice for carrying, wider than regular Bible, but not as tall. The only thing I didn't like about this Bible is that the print is quite small but the type is darker and pages not too thin so ok.
I think older girls would enjoy this Bible too!

This daily devotional is so very lovely! First of all the size of this book is perfect for placing in your purse to carry with you so you can read it while waiting during errands, etc. Love the padded cover. Each day has a Bible verse for you to look up and read, then a wonderful insight that sparks you into thinking very differently about life. Then a prayer that is fits into every day life and that anyone can pray. Such an encouraging little book!

In All Things New is beautifully written in a form that kept me wanting to read on and on. It is the story of Penny Rose who has grown up, virtually alone, going from one fostor home to another with no direction or love to keep her stable or allow for a feeling of family. Finally she comes up with a plan to make a change, which I won't go further in describing because I think it would take away from the reading. But once she has the plan in place and as time goes on, her life goes from sad to something very unexpected. With many bird references which make this novel so unique, flight and fancy seem to follow Penny through her life.
I love how this book flows with beautiful form and such grace. At first with the narrative jumping between three perspectives, I was a little confused but once I began to get the feel for the story and characters then I had no problem following the story. Also a warning, I didn't realize this before reading but she does write about a rape and abuse and it is very graphic but done in a tasteful way. This would be the only negative things I could say about the book.

What a beautifully written biography of this most wonderful Saint! As we travel from his birth, through his life as a missionary and to his death we share his hopes, struggles and his close walk and love of God. We also get to meet many of the people who followed him and learn so much of the history of the time of his life and the know world. Being that I am not of Catholic faith and don't know much about their traditions, I had to step away from the book at times to do additional research. (only reason for the 4 star rating) But that is what a book is suppose to do is to spark an interest for learning something new and this book does that for me. I learned so much from this book about Saint Francis that I didn't know about and also gained a new perspective into his life. There are so wonderful thoughts and phrases in this book that touched my heart.

"Despite a perfect storm of hostile forces that threaten to deny children a healthy, ahppy childhood, courageous parents and teachers can turn the tide. Yes we can reclaims childhood" from Their Name Is Today. I love this because even though I am not a parent I have neices and nephews, friends and just all the beautiful children I come in contact with each day that I am touched by. This book is not only for parents but for any one who has a heart for children. I love the stories he tells to illustrate the ideas of each chapter, discussing everything from difficult children to dealing with today's technology, good and bad. I would recommend for anyone who loves children.

I have always hated the mess that liquid detergents make when measuring! Well Purex has come up with a solution and I love it!!! Purex PowerShot is awesome! The bottle is small enough that it doesn't hurt my arm or hand when trying to use it and all I do is open the top, flip it upside down to allow detergent to dispense into washing and then close lid. Easy and absolutely no mess. Also comes in my favorite fragrance, Natural Elements. And it dispenses the right amount so clothes come out clean and fresh. *The Purex brand provided me with a sample of Purex PowerShot detergent in exchange for a product review. However, all the opinions expressed are my own.
